Skull Valley Loop Challenge Registration Option for PAT Members Only:

PAT members are elligible for discounted registration to the Skull Valley Loop Challenge. You are welcome to sign up as a member now by using the paypal buttons above. Please be aware of the early registration cutoff date. If you prefer, you can also print off a registration form and mail it in with a check, please note at the top of the form that you are a member and that you are paying the discounted rate.
Normal registration: $35.00 before August 19, 2011 - $45.00 after
PAT member registration: $25.00 before August 19, 2011 - $35.00 after

Registration for PAT Members only

Riders must obey all Arizona traffic laws and must wear ANSI, ASTM or Snell approved helmets.

Event will take place regardless of weather conditions. Registration fees are non-refundable.  

  RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY,ASSUMPTION OF RISK, INDEMNITY, AND PARENTAL CONSENT AGREEMENT ("Agreement") for LEAGUE OF AMERICANWHEELMAN D/B/ALEAGUE OF AMERICAN BICYCLISTS ("LAB") (this form is to only be used for Individual Adults or for Adults on behalf of Minors) 
IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to participate in any way in Prescott Alternative Transportation  sponsored Bicycling Activities ("Activity") I, for myself, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin:
<>1. ACKNOWLEDGE, agree, and represent that I understand the nature of Bicycling Activities and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition toparticipate in such Activity. I further acknowledge that the Activity will be conducted over public roads and facilities open to the public during the Activity and upon which the <>hazards of traveling are to be expected. I further agree and warrant that if, at any time, I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately discontinue further participation in the Activity. <>2. FULLY UNDERSTAND that (a) BICYCLING ACTIVITIES INVOLVE RISKS AND DANGERS OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING PERMANENT DISABILITY, PARALYSIS AND DEATH ("Risks"); (b) these Risks and dangers may be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the Activity, the <>conditions in which the Activity takes place, or THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE "RELEASEES" NAMED BELOW; (c) there may be OTHER RISKS AND SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC
LOSSES either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES,  

COSTS, AND DAMAGES I may incur as a result of my participation in the Activity.

3. HEREBY RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the Organization, the LAB, its respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, members, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the Activity takes place, (each considered one of the "RELEASEES" herein) FROM ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES ON MY ACCOUNT CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN 

PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE "RELEASEES" OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS. And, I FURTHER AGREE that if, despite this

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I

WILL INDEMNIFY, SAVE, AND HOLD HARMLESS EACH OF THE RELEASEES from any litigation expenses, attorney fees, loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as the result of such claim.

Know the Rules for the Skull Valley Loop Challenge

Yavapai Country Sherriff’s will cite vehicles and riders.

 

  1. All Riders must follow police escort through downtown Prescott to the stop light at Williamson Valley Road.
  2. All Riders must wear an approved helmet (AMSI or CPSC certified)
  3. All Riders must obey Police and Event Officials and Volunteers.
  4. All Riders must show and practice good sportsmanship.
  5. All Riders must wear event number. Please pin on lower left side on back of jersey so number is easily visible.
  6. All Riders must not cross a solid yellow line.
  7. All Riders must obey traffic lights and signs unless otherwise directed by Police.
  8. All Riders must read and know Arizona State bicycle laws, and must yield to emergency vehicles at all times.
  9. All Riders must give right of way to other road users, including bicycles and motor vehicles, when legally required to.
  10. All Riders must bicycle single file, unless a police escort is provided.
  11. All Riders must verbally warn others when they overtake them. Call out “passing,” or “on your left.”
  12. Individual support vehicles are not allowed on course.
  13. All riders who drop out of the event must notify an event volunteer or official, at a Support Stop or one of the mobile units.

Skull Valley Loop Challenge is finished at 1:30 PM and all course support will be closed. Riders still on route will be stopped and transported to the finish line by volunteers.
